HOUSING & COMMERCIAL
Stage 1 2001-2007
The first stage shows the specialization in bioclimatic concepts and the application of environmental parameters, Co-designing and building residential, commercial and tourist projects, taking care of the natural environment as much as possible. In addition to contributing positively to the existing environment. After 20 years, these buildings maintain good conditions and few constructive pathologies. Many of them continue to be monitored and evaluated...

Hanging Garden HOUSING REHABILITATION
The hanging garden was codesigned and built in 2021, location, San Jose. The origin of the project comes from the need to passively regulate the temperature by adding lowmaintenance green areas. The hybrid structure is composed of metal tensors and climbing plants of different species, besides not requiring irrigation, the new green body provided freshness. In addition to giving the space a particular atmosphere, it attracts birds and butterflies. The client authorized the incorporation of devices to measure and monitor temperature variations over the next five years

Beach House
Codesigned project for a local architectural studio. Located in the province of Guanacaste, on top of a hillside. It offers a breathtaking view of the coast and the Pacific Ocean, in addition to a permanent breeze. The orientation is also unbeatable, the north, with less solar incidence in the peak hours of temperature.

The infinity edge pool along the facade also has a bioclimatic function, that brings to the interior the freshness of the breeze mixed with the water. In addition to the above, the additional cross ventilation made it possible to dispense with artificial cooling. Under the house, there are two cisterns that collect rainwater for reuse. Designed for low maintenance and energy optimized with passive elements and photovoltaic panels.

Located in Limon, Costa Rica, is a single-family house, integrated into the landscape. Built next to a hill, on concrete piles and metal pillars, to reduce the impact on the natural territory. The house is on three levels, under a large cantilevered roof, studied for the best solar incidence and the collection of sunlight, and the capture of the sea breeze to cool the house passively. It has photovoltaic panels, and rainwater harvesting and reuse. The construction is completely prefabricated and assembled on-site in a few weeks. The project considered the reforestation of 200 trees of native species.

Beach House
Country House
Located in San Jose, on the high slopes at 1.6 km above sea level. Codesigned in 2001 and built in 2002 with passive criteria of orientation, ventilation, and energy consumption. With metal, recycled wood, and prefabricated concrete. It has a usable area of 191 m2 out of a total of 200 m2. After two decades, its maintenance is good and it has not shown any constructive pathologies.

Beach House
Located Manuel Antonio Costa Rica. Co-designed in 2021 and built in 2022. The entrance to this tropical home begins with a bridge leading to a foyer nestled comfortably between two trees. Outside views flow as you walk through each room. Small bridges over the water connect all areas and two staircases lead to the more private areas on either side of the house. In the afternoon, when the sun is in front of the house, the surface of the water reflects the rippling rays of the sun on the roof, creating a surreal light show. Beyond the pool is the third tree and a view of the sea with an islet. It is an example of seamless integration with nature, with recycled design elements.

Cultural Center Commercial
Offices and Cultural Center. Located in San Jose. Designed in 2001 and built-in 2002-03 on a steeply sloping hillside, adapting the building so, that it shows a two-story scale at street level. While it descends in a staggered manner, four more heights. Supported on piles, the lower slab remains elevated off the ground, reducing impact and providing earth retaining walls.

INDUSTRIAL & AIR TRANSPORT BUILDINGS
Stage 2 2008-2021
This second professional stage focused on optimized and efficient design, construction and planning processes. Mainly on industrial projects related to energy in the Middle East, Australia, Europe and the United States, as well as Spanish air transport.
Marjan Natural Gas Plant
Located in Saudi Arabia for Saudi Aramco. The contract year was 2019, with a budget of $3000M. The object of the work is to achieve a reduction in the carbon intensity of crude oil to 10gr CO2eq / barrel, supporting the carbon footprint strategy set by the client. My scope in this project was to lead the development and coordination between the agents involved. * Photographs in this type of project have high-security censorship. Not being able to show in this portfolio, the detail of the buildings worked. Showing only generic images approved for the use of different media.

Haradh Gas Compression Plant
Located in Saudi Arabia, for Saudi Aramco. Started in 2017-18 with a budget of $4500 M Tr's Stake 50%. The scope was focused on various types of service buildings, such as electrical substations, control centers and employee offices, instrumentation buildings, and temporary residential camps. All this uses advanced and energy-efficient technologies for energy savings, water consumption, low maintenance, and environmental advantages over the conventional process unit.

SUSTAINABILITY AND URBAN RENENERATION
Stage 3 2018-2023
Finally, the current stage, focused on training and urban interventions. Of systemic approaches and multidimensional objectives. For the sustainability, regeneration and health of current cities and future models.
Urban hanging gardens REHABILITATING NATURE
Design in 2021 and build in 2022. It is located in a central plaza in the San Jose. The tensioned cable substructure consists of a double curvature surface. With large spans spanning up to 22 meters in length between supports. On the mesh run 23 species of tropical vines with endemic multicolored flowers, from a study conducted in conjunction with the Department of landscape of the municipality. Some of them produce fruits, attract the biodiversity of birds and insects of the area. The species do not require watering, which optimizes maintenance costs. Its 830 m2 aspire to become an open-air butterfly garden. In addition to becoming an important Co2 sink. It also provides protection from adverse weather by regulating the temperature of the air, as well as cleaning it and capturing CO2.The complex is equipped with environmental meters to determine its annual environmental contribution to the environment.

Alcorcón, Madrid. Urban analysis
The municipality of Alcorcón is located southwest of Madrid. The area analyzed includes the western park, the Rey Juan Carlos university campus, the commercial zone, and the residential area. The evaluation considers the existing pedestrian and natural connectivity, the perception of safety, the existing spaces for social coexistence and facilities, as well as the environmental exposure due to noise, air quality, solar incidence, or polluted surfaces. I also consider financial evaluations for the viability of the proposals and actions for sustainability. Adjusting the project in phases and different evolutionary scales.

Multi-criteria GIS analysis
Urban Form and Healthy Cities
The study was developed in the Greater Metropolitan Area of San Jose,Costa Rica, in four central and most populated districts of the country, SanJose. Several agents of the Costa Rican society participated, such as theUniversity of Costa Rica, the Municipality of San Jose, the EnvironmentalInstitute, as well as the Central Bank of Costa Rica. The objective of theanalysis was to determine the degree to which environmental andphysical factors of the city affect cardiovascular health by the prevalenceof cardiovascular disease, on cardiovascular health due to the prevalenceof obesity. The work proposed a methodology to evaluate the builtenvironment in cities with a humid tropical climate. From where to raiseor improve action plans for regional urban renewal, as well as to protectits viability. To determine new resilient urban models, including indicatorsfor monitoring, evaluation, and subsequent improvement. The result ofthe work was presented at an international urban planning conference inMadrid, ISUF-H 2022, and published in the conference proceedings withISBN 978-84-9728-605-3.
